What is 4D AstroDepth Mapper?

4D AstroDepth Mapper is a PixInsight plugin that turns your plate-solved astrophotograph into an interactive cosmic depth experience.
It helps you see not only where objects appear in your image, but also how far away they are. The tool combines foreground Gaia stars, galaxies, quasars and other distant objects into a 4D AstroDepth Map, using available distance data and clearly showing the measurement methods behind those distances.
You can explore your image in three complementary ways: travel through cosmic distance in the 4D map, inspect objects directly in the Interactive Object Explorer, and create an annotated shareable JPG that highlights key objects in your photo.
The result is both visual and educational: a journey from nearby stars in our Milky Way to distant galaxies and quasars billions of light-years away.
